and are FUN!?
We’re here to help!
It’s possible to have a fun summer with your kids (and they might learn a little along the way)!
You’ll be able to focus on the following seven categories, one for each day of the week:

Summer Activity Ideas
Some ideas include:
- Go fishing together. Check to see if your local library has fishing poles available for check-out.
- Go for a walk. No bikes or scooters. Walk for 10 minutes or 30 minutes – just get out there and walk!
- Read Lenny the Lobster Can’t Stay for Dinner by Michael Buckley. It’s a super fun “You Decide” book!
- Plan a playdate! Invite friends over or plan to meet up at the park or another fun activity location.
- Encourage each child to write/draw about a time when somebody did something kind to him/her.
- Everybody sit together in the living room or outside and enjoy your library materials.
- Read a bedtime story together every day this week.
- Read Bear Moves by Ben Bailey Smith. Everyone should be up and dancing! Silly is good!
- Make a meal, dessert, craft, bouquet of flowers, or anything you can think of together to give to your neighbors.
- Everyone can write/draw three things they are thankful for today.
- Try a new recipe for dinner today! Make sure everyone participates in preparing the meal.
- Go to the library as a family. Stock up for tomorrow’s tech-free day.
- Visit a museum together.
- Play a board game together as a family.
